Local History and a Cottage Renovation
Digital Video:
Schools spend an hour a day teaching children how to communicate using text.
This is because the curriculum in use is the one created by the Victorians when
the only way to communicate was though text. There was no other way (apart from
a soap box in the market square). Today, we can communicate in text (print and
blogs), sound (radio programmes and audio blogs) and even by still and moving
images (movies and video blogs). Click here for more.
Computers in Education:
This website also contains a wealth of information about computers in
schools, how they are used in the curriculum and how you can use them for digital video and movie
making.
Local History and a Cottage Renovation:
There is also a whole section about cottage
renovation, local history and local materials - in our case, Barnack Rag and Collyweston slate roofs.
Finances:
One of the most important things is life is money.
As Mr Micawber said, if you earn a shilling and spend one-and-six the result
will be misery - and vice versa. Yes, I've paraphrased it a bit but what he said
holds as true today as when Dickens wrote it. I intend to create a set of pages
that will offer you the result of a normal lifetime of earning and spending - and
learning lessons along the way. Financial advice is often biased and intended more for the advisor than the person who seeks the advice. All the financial information here is unbiased and honest.

Home:
Home is of interest to family, friends and people who know me but it
also contains my father's memoirs and pictures and
information about the cottage in which I live.
If you have an interest in old buildings you must visit this section.
